Belle's teaching career flourished as she served as a choir director and administrator in various schools throughout the area. Through her guidance and inspiration, she influenced countless students, igniting their love for the fine arts and empowering them to pursue careers in music.

Recognized as "The Mother of Mariachi," Belle played a pivotal role in the development of mariachi and cultural arts curriculum that continues to enrich the lives of students in public schools nationwide. In 1978, alongside her husband Juan Ortiz, Belle co-founded the Grammy award-winning Mariachi Campanas de America. Their ensemble captured the hearts of audiences across the globe with their mesmerizing performances. From the prestigious Presidential Hispanic Inaugural Gala honoring President Bill Clinton to captivating audiences at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington D.C., and even gracing the White House stage for President and Mrs. Laura Bush, Mariachi Campanas de America enchanted listeners with their unparalleled talent.
